The highly anticipated film ‘Deththadi,’ starring Ashish from the movies ‘Rowdy Boys’ and ‘Love Me,’ has generated excitement after the release of its first look and glimpses on Tuesday. Directed by Aditiya Rao Gangsani and produced by Dil Raju and Shirish, the film promises to capture the essence of Hyderabad’s vibrant culture.
During the launch event, Dil Raju shared insights about the film, stating that Ashish will portray a character named Ghannu. The story revolves around various cultural festivities in Hyderabad, including Ellamma Laggam, Bonalu, Vinayaka Chavithi, and Sadar. Aditiya has taken a unique approach to filmmaking by immersing himself in the lives of street drummers for an entire year, gathering experiences and incidents that shape the narrative of ‘Deththadi.’
The event saw an enthusiastic turnout of nearly six hundred street drummers, who participated free of charge, expressing their joy at having a film made about their lives. Ashish remarked on his preparation for the role, stating that he learned about the intricacies of how bands perform, including how many types of bands exist and their unique styles.
Raju emphasized the film’s goal of showcasing Hyderabad’s rich cultural heritage to the world in an impressive manner. He stated, “This movie is meant to make every band proud. We are making it for your respect as well as ours.” The collaborative spirit of the event was palpable, as Ashish and Aditiya shared their dedication to delivering a film that resonates with audiences.
Director Aditiya expressed his commitment to making the film memorable, stating, “We will create a movie that everyone will remember.” Writer Prasanna added to this sentiment, declaring that while many films have been set against the backdrop of Hyderabad, ‘Deththadi’ will be the first to authentically represent the city’s true culture.
