Tripura, India – What was supposed to be a joyous occasion turned into a chaotic scene as police raided the birthday celebration of renowned folk and film playback singer Mangli at the Tripura Resort in Chevella.

The incident occurred on Saturday night when Mangli was hosting a private birthday party at the resort. Eyewitnesses reported that the celebration was in full swing, with guests enjoying music, dance, and revelry, when suddenly a contingent of police officers descended upon the venue.

According to local authorities, the raid was prompted by complaints received about the high volume of music and disturbance to the peace in the area. “We received several calls from nearby residents complaining about the noise levels and disruption caused by the party,” said Inspector Rajesh Kumar. “As the organizers did not have the necessary permits, we had to intervene to restore order.”

The police action caused significant disruption to the festivities, with guests being asked to vacate the premises immediately. Mangli, visibly distressed by the turn of events, expressed her disappointment at the situation. “This was supposed to be a joyous occasion to celebrate my birthday with my friends and family,” she said. “I’m saddened that the police had to intervene and ruin the party.”

The incident has sparked a debate about the need for better coordination between event organizers and local authorities to ensure that such celebrations can be held without causing undue disturbance to the community. “We understand the importance of such events, but they need to be conducted in a responsible manner that respects the rights of all residents,” said Kumar.

Despite the unfortunate incident, Mangli’s fans and well-wishers have rallied behind her, offering messages of support and understanding. The singer, known for her melodious voice and captivating performances, remains undeterred and promises to continue entertaining her audience with her music and art.
