Andhra Pradesh Rolls Out Free Coaching for One Lakh Students Aiming for JEE and NEET
In a major move to support academic excellence, the government of Andhra Pradesh has launched an ambitious initiative to provide free coaching to over one lakh students preparing for national competitive exams like the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
The program, announced by the state’s Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, aims to empower students from underprivileged backgrounds and ensure equal access to quality education. By offering free coaching, the government hopes to level the playing field and give these students a better chance of cracking the highly competitive JEE and NEET examinations.
According to official sources, the free coaching initiative will cater to over one lakh students across Andhra Pradesh, providing them with comprehensive preparation for these national-level entrance tests. The coaching will cover crucial subjects like physics, chemistry, and mathematics, as well as strategies and techniques to excel in the exams.
Recognizing the financial constraints faced by many families, the government’s move is expected to have a significant impact on the lives of these students. “Quality education should not be a privilege, but a right for every child,” said Chief Minister Reddy, emphasizing the state’s commitment to ensuring that no student is left behind in their pursuit of higher education.
The free coaching program will be implemented through a network of state-run coaching centers and will leverage the expertise of experienced faculty members. Additionally, the government plans to provide study materials, mock tests, and personalized guidance to the participating students, further enhancing their chances of success.
The initiative has been welcomed by educational experts and civil society organizations, who believe it could be a game-changer in improving access to premier engineering and medical institutions. “This is a commendable step that can open doors of opportunity for thousands of deserving students,” said Dr. Sanjay Mishra, an education policy analyst.
As the program takes shape, the Andhra Pradesh government is expected to closely monitor its implementation and make necessary adjustments to ensure maximum impact. The success of this free coaching initiative could serve as a model for other states to emulate, further strengthening the country’s efforts to create a more equitable and inclusive education system.
