Hyderabad: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expressed jubilation following its recent electoral success in the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation, as well as in the towns of Bainsa and Narayanpet. State president Ramchandra Rao proudly declared that the party’s base has grown significantly, which has been reflected in an increased percentage of votes. He noted that despite facing harassment and numerous legal cases against their activists in Bainsa, the party managed to secure a victory, which he described as a moment of joy.

In his address, Ramchandra Rao extended his gratitude to the residents of Bainsa for their support. “Our vote percentage has increased dramatically. We are the deciding party in 25 municipalities and are winning in many areas as vice-chairmen. We have emerged as the single largest party in several municipalities. Our representation has grown everywhere, and our party base is expanding,” he stated. He highlighted that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has seen a decline, dropping from 43 seats to 27, a decrease of 14 percent, losing 550 wards in the process. Meanwhile, despite winning 70 seats, the Congress party has received significantly fewer seats compared to 2003.

Rao emphasized that the ruling party did not achieve the expected results, marking a historic moment as the BJP secured the municipal corporation in Telangana for the first time. He expressed his appreciation for the people of Telangana and for party leader Bandi Sanjay, stating, “We have won the Karimnagar mayoral position without any alliances, entirely on our own.” He also praised the efforts of party members Aravind, Rakesh, and Dhanpal Surya Narayana for their hard work.

Additionally, Rao pointed out the increasing influence of the Majlis party, questioning how the BJP and the Majlis seemed to work together in preventing the mayor and chairman positions from being obtained by the other parties. “What should we call the relationship between these three parties? The people need to observe the connection among them,” he remarked. He further noted a decline in the presence of communist parties, suggesting that Revanth Reddy is trying to revive them.

In light of the upcoming elections in April, Rao urged voters in the Greater Hyderabad area to stay vigilant. He raised concerns about fraudulent voting practices, claiming that unauthorized ballots are being submitted at voters’ homes without their knowledge. “We will take action against those who cross-vote from the BJP. A whip has been issued across the state,” he asserted, emphasizing the importance of electoral integrity.

As the BJP celebrates its achievements, the political landscape in Telangana continues to evolve, leaving many to speculate about the future dynamics among the involved parties and their strategies moving forward.
