The company’s representative, M.G. Agarwal, claimed that Yadav borrowed Rs. 5 crores and failed to return it. The case escalated when the cheques issued by Yadav bounced, leading to a ruling by the Delhi court that declared the couple guilty in 2018. Initially, Yadav received a six-month jail sentence, but he managed to obtain a stay from the Delhi High Court by promising to repay the amount owed. However, his failure to fulfill this promise led the court to take serious action, ultimately compelling him to appear before Tihar Jail officials.
