Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has come under fire for personal criticisms directed at him by Union Minister and BJP MP Kishan Reddy. Kishan Reddy expressed his dissatisfaction, suggesting that it would be prudent for Revanth to recognize that he is not anyone’s adopted son. He went on to mockingly propose that if Revanth desires, he should change his name to Revanth Khan, highlighting his growing frustration with the CM’s remarks.
Addressing the media, Kishan Reddy accused Revanth of being out of touch with reality, questioning his authority to criticize others while he himself has been linked to the MIM (Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen) party. He emphasized that during the time Revanth has been associated with MIM, his party has been stirring dissatisfaction among the people. Kishan Reddy further challenged Revanth to engage in a discussion regarding what Prime Minister Modi has done for Telangana, signaling his readiness to debate the matter openly.
In a pointed inquiry, Kishan Reddy asked who bears the responsibility for taking action against KCR (K. Chandrashekar Rao) – is it Revanth Reddy or himself? He urged the Telangana society to reflect on this question and consider the implications of their leadership choices. Reddy expressed confidence that the BJP would emerge victorious in the upcoming municipal elections, despite claims that the party would not secure a seat in the MP and MLC elections.
Despite the heated exchanges, Kishan Reddy maintained that the BJP would ultimately prevail, regardless of any name changes or allegations made against them. He accused Revanth of speaking recklessly without a clear direction and criticized him for having spent the past two years merely talking without taking concrete actions. Reddy insisted that if Revanth cannot deliver on his promises, he should resign from his position.
Kishan Reddy concluded his remarks by urging Revanth to focus on the commitments he has made rather than diverting attention to personal attacks. He admonished Revanth not to shift blame onto the BJP for his own shortcomings and emphasized the importance of accountability in political leadership. The ongoing tensions between the BJP and the Telangana government are likely to intensify as elections approach, with both parties gearing up for a fierce battle for the hearts and minds of voters.
