The Telangana film industry is gearing up for an exciting event as Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized the need for the industry to reach international standards. Speaking at the recent screening process for the Telangana Gaddar Film Awards 2025 held in Hyderabad, he expressed his vision for the local cinema to evolve into a globally influential force.
Vikramarka assured that the Telangana government will extend support to the film industry whenever needed, highlighting the state’s commitment to fostering cinematic excellence. He remarked, “We have prepared an action plan to elevate the Telangana film industry to new heights.” The Deputy Chief Minister also paid homage to the legendary figure Gaddar, stating that he dedicated his life for the people, thus making his name synonymous with valor and creativity in the region.
In an encouraging announcement, Vikramarka mentioned that the government decided to establish film awards in Gaddar’s name as soon as they came into office. He expressed his joy at the opportunity to present the second-year awards, affirming that this year’s ceremony will be celebrated with grandeur on the auspicious occasion of Ugadi.
He reassured the film community that the government’s doors will always be open for assistance, stating, “Whether it is Chief Minister Revanth Reddy or the Minister for Cinematography Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, we are all here to support the industry.” The Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC) Chairman and producer Dil Raju are overseeing the arrangements for the upcoming awards ceremony.
Further details shared by Vikramarka revealed that the Gaddar Awards jury, chaired by composer Manisharma, will conduct the selection process for the awards without any biases. Dil Raju also announced that a total of 90 films are competing for this year’s Gaddar Awards, indicating a vibrant and competitive landscape within the Telangana film sector.
