A massive fire broke out at the Forensic Science Laboratory in Nampally, Hyderabad, creating a wave of concern and speculation. The incident, which occurred on Saturday morning, resulted in significant damage, particularly to crucial files that have raised questions about the integrity of ongoing investigations.

The blaze reportedly started in the computer lab located on the first floor of the facility and quickly spread throughout the building within minutes. As the flames engulfed the area, various electronic devices and computers were destroyed, filling the vicinity with thick black smoke. Office staff, realizing the severity of the situation, evacuated the premises in a panic.

In the wake of the fire, Telangana’s Working President of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), K.T. Rama Rao, took to Twitter to express his concerns. He suggested that the incident could be an attempt to destroy evidence related to the controversial “Vote for Note” case and allegations of phone tapping that reportedly involved fabricated evidence during the previous Congress government. His remarks have sparked a heated debate among political circles.

Alongside K.T. Rama Rao, BRS leader Manne Krishank also weighed in on the incident via social media, questioning Chief Minister Revanth Reddy about the complete destruction of the lab and the potential loss of critical evidence. Krishank shared a video related to the fire, further raising the stakes in this unfolding situation.

Emergency services responded promptly, arriving at the scene with five fire engines to bring the flames under control. Preliminary investigations by authorities suggest that a short circuit may have been the cause of the fire. North Zone DIG Shweta and Khairatabad Zone DCP Shilpavalli were on-site shortly after the incident to assess the damage and determine the implications for ongoing cases that rely on forensic evidence.

Officials are currently investigating whether any important documents related to key cases have been compromised by the fire. While no casualties have been reported, authorities have indicated that more information regarding the extent of property loss will become clear once the situation is fully assessed.

This fire has not only destroyed physical resources but has also fueled political tensions and provided fertile ground for speculation regarding the motivations behind the incident. As investigations continue, the ramifications of this event will likely unfold in the coming days, impacting both the political landscape and ongoing judicial matters in Telangana.
