Mahesh Babu, a name synonymous with dynamic performances in Indian cinema, is set to surprise his fans with an evolution in his running style for his upcoming film, “Varanasi,” directed by the acclaimed S.S. Rajamouli. Known for his distinct running technique, Mahesh has captivated audiences for years, but this time, he will showcase a transformed style after six months of dedicated training.

In a candid interview, Mahesh Babu shared details about the rigorous preparation he undertook for the film, which has been in the works since two years ago. The title was officially announced last November, accompanied by a thrilling three-minute video that revealed insights into the movie’s storyline, which intertwines elements of the past, present, and future. In this ambitious project, Mahesh will also portray the character of Lord Rama, necessitating a significant physical transformation.

Mahesh explained that to authentically portray the role, he had to maintain a specific physique and undergo extensive training. “We spent nearly a year preparing for this role, including two to three months learning combat techniques. Rajamouli specifically asked me to change my running technique, which required an intense six-month training period,” he remarked. Despite the demanding preparation, Mahesh noted that only two scenes had been filmed thus far, highlighting his commitment to the project.

The film features a star-studded cast, including Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran, and is set to release in theaters on April 7 of next year. The recent announcement has generated excitement among fans who are eager to see Mahesh’s evolution as an actor under Rajamouli’s direction, alongside the musical talents of M.M. Keeravani, who will compose the film’s score.

Notably, this project marks a significant collaboration between Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu, who has long aspired to work with the visionary director. The anticipation surrounding “Varanasi” is palpable, as Rajamouli aims to achieve a global hit with this pan-Indian film, further expanding his cinematic reach beyond the regional audience.

As the release date approaches, fans are keenly awaiting new updates and glimpses of the film. With Mahesh Babu’s commitment to transforming his craft and Rajamouli’s creative vision, “Varanasi” promises to be a landmark film that could redefine cinematic standards in Indian cinema.
