In a fiery statement, former minister and YSR Congress Party leader Gudivada Amarnath has criticized the state of law and order in Andhra Pradesh, declaring it a complete failure. Speaking to the media from Visakhapatnam on Tuesday, February 3, he accused the coalition leaders of orchestrating attacks on Ambati Rambabu’s residence as part of a calculated plan.
Amarnath pointed out that the recent violence is not merely random acts but part of a deliberate strategy to divert attention from the ongoing controversy surrounding the Tirupati laddu. He claimed that the coalition leaders are erecting flex boards that incite hatred while spreading misinformation about the famous Tirupati laddu, which has been a significant issue in the state.
Describing the attack on Rambabu’s home, Amarnath stated that the incident exemplifies the government’s failure to maintain law and order. “The police ignored the opportunity to disperse the mob that invaded Rambabu’s house, which is a clear indication of the breakdown of law enforcement in our state,” he remarked. He also mentioned that an attack involving petrol bombs was launched on the house of Jogi Ramesh, further illustrating the serious nature of the situation.
Amarnath expressed his outrage, suggesting that these attacks are a diversionary tactic to shift focus from the impending revelations regarding the Tirupati laddu issue. He alleged that the attacks serve the purpose of distracting public attention from what he termed as a conspiracy involving Chandrababu Naidu and his family, aimed at land grabbing and corruption.
He highlighted the severity of the situation by referencing the MP Bharat’s claims regarding land value, which he asserted amounts to a staggering ₹1,000 crores. “Admitting to land grabbing is tantamount to an acknowledgment of wrongdoing. Have you been granted the right to build compound walls around government land? The properties in Visakhapatnam are not your personal estate,” Amarnath warned, underscoring the urgency of the matter.
