Hyderabad: Telangana’s working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), K.T. Rama Rao, expressed growing frustration among unemployed youth in the state, criticizing Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for failing to deliver on promises made during his first year in office. The Chief Minister’s assurance of creating 200,000 jobs was met with dismay as the BRS leader pointed out the government’s lack of action, particularly in light of the Congress party’s recent performance in the state.

K.T. Rama Rao, also known as KTR, took to a press conference to emphasize the disappointment regarding the job creation promise that was never fulfilled. He accused the Congress party of misleading the youth by suggesting that job announcements were on the horizon, only for it to be revealed as a mere five-year commitment rather than immediate action. This, he suggested, was a tactic used by Congress Chief Revanth Reddy to gain political leverage, which has left many young people feeling betrayed.

KTR recalled Priyanka Gandhi’s visit to Hyderabad where she allegedly urged the youth to demand job appointments if the government failed to deliver within a year. He remarked that if those words had turned into action, the government would have faced severe repercussions by now. In a scathing critique, KTR stated that the state had seen a complete standstill in recruitment processes, branding it as “Recruitment Zero” under the current administration.

The BRS leader pointed out that even during the last phase of KCR’s previous term, 65,000 job notifications were issued, only for the Chief Minister to later retract them. He argued this inconsistency has fueled widespread discontent among the unemployed, who feel their hopes have been systematically dashed. He challenged the Chief Minister to apologize publicly to the youth for the unfulfilled job promises, asserting that even such an apology would not suffice to regain their trust.

KTR further criticized the Congress government for its handling of the financial assistance scheme for farmers, stating that it has failed to support 7 million farmers adequately. He highlighted the unfulfilled promise of financial aid for women, noting that the government’s failure to implement this scheme has left many women feeling frustrated and angry.

In a broader context, KTR also addressed the growing dissent towards the Congress party within just two years of its governance, indicating a significant shift in public sentiment. He urged BRS party workers to intensify their efforts in the upcoming municipal elections, emphasizing the need to highlight the failures of the Congress party in their campaign strategies.

During a teleconference with various party leaders, KTR outlined the importance of coordination and discipline within the party ranks to ensure a successful election campaign. He encouraged party members to engage with previously rebellious candidates who had withdrawn their nominations, inviting them back into the fold to strengthen the party’s position ahead of the elections.

As the elections approach, KTR urged his party members to focus on voter outreach and to ensure that the party’s message resonates with the constituents. With a call to action for all members to be present in their designated municipalities, he stressed that every moment counts in this competitive political landscape, urging all to maximize their efforts for a successful outcome.
