Tadepalli: Former minister Vidudala Rajini expressed strong criticism towards the ongoing chaos instigated by TDP leaders targeting YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) ranks. She accused the ruling party of behaving like goons and rowdies, calling into question their alleged threats and intimidation tactics. Speaking from the YSRCP headquarters in Tadepalli on Tuesday, February 3, Rajini stated that the TDP leaders’ remarks of “we will come back again… we will strike again” reflect a disturbing culture of violence.
Rajini specifically pointed out the comments made by MLA Madhavi, suggesting that she is being manipulated as a pawn by the TDP. “It’s important to remember that they will build her up as a woman supporter, only to have her turn around and be involved in attacks,” Rajini claimed. She accused TDP goons of inciting violence against YSRCP activists, asserting that they are using the issue surrounding the ‘Laddu’ to divert attention from their own misdeeds.
Highlighting the irony, Rajini mentioned that after attacks on YSRCP members, the perpetrators turned around and filed cases against them. “When we file complaints about the attacks, there is no response whatsoever from the authorities,” she lamented. Rajini urged the coalition leaders to seek divine wisdom at temples, alluding to the belief that prayers could bring about a change in their mindset. “You know well what happens when you confront Venkateswara Swamy,” she added, referring to the deity worshipped in the region.
Rajini further criticized the TDP for allegedly trying to impose laws that would prevent YSRCP members from visiting places of worship. She accused them of spreading falsehoods regarding the Laddu issue, asserting that there has been no adulteration in the distribution process. “We are being attacked simply for questioning coalition leaders about their actions,” she declared, emphasizing the deteriorating state of governance in the region.
According to Rajini, the state is currently under a regime that resembles a lawless territory. “There is no constitution, no democracy, and no peace and security in the state,” she said, referring to what she described as a ‘Red Book’ policy that the ruling party operates under. “People are living in fear due to the chaos perpetrated by the Red Book governance,” she added, making it clear that despite the threats and violence, the YSRCP remains committed to fighting for the people.
In her closing remarks, Rajini reiterated her party’s resolve, stating, “No matter how many attacks you launch against us, we will continue to stand with the people.” Her passionate address underlined the escalating tensions between the rival political factions in Andhra Pradesh, as the battle for public support intensifies ahead of the upcoming elections.
