The political landscape in Telangana is heating up as Congress leaders are making serious allegations against Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) regarding illegal phone tapping. While a Special Investigation Team (SIT) is conducting an inquiry at KCR’s residence in Nandhinagar, several Congress leaders addressed the media at the CLP media hall to discuss the ongoing situation.

Minister Vakiti Sridhar raised pointed questions about the BRS party’s frantic response to the inquiry, suggesting that if they had committed no wrongdoing, there would be no need for such alarm. He described phone tapping as a disgraceful act and questioned the necessity of convoys of thousands of cars to attend the inquiry. “Is there a rally being organized to reveal the phone tapping scandal? Did KCR unknowingly bring in tapping equipment from Israel? Why is Prabhakar Rao, who is embroiled in the tapping case, hiding in America?” he demanded.

The allegations continued to escalate, with Congress leaders claiming that KCR’s daughter, Kavitha, herself admitted to tapping her own son-in-law’s phone. They pointed to the disappearance of hard disks from the Special Intelligence Bureau office following the Congress government taking charge, questioning why these disks were later found in the Musi River and forests of Vikarabad.

In a scathing critique, MLC Addanki Dayakar stated that KCR has failed to conduct an honest movement for Telangana and has merely used it for political gain. “While sitting in the inquiry room, KCR has made numerous flawed decisions. He has not participated in significant events like the Sakala Janula Samme and Sagara Haaram. KCR pretended to be a champion for Telangana while being absent during critical moments,” Dayakar asserted.

He further asserted that KCR was not present in Parliament when the Telangana bill was introduced, calling him a “thief” in the guise of a leader. With growing unrest among the populace, Dayakar expressed confidence that the BRS party would be ousted from power in Telangana. He emphasized that KCR must prove the allegations against him are false if he believes in the integrity of the Constitution.

As the inquiry unfolds, the tension between the Congress and BRS parties appears to intensify. The allegations of illegal surveillance and political manipulation have sparked widespread discussion among citizens, with many calling for accountability and transparency in governance. With the political climate in Telangana hanging in the balance, the coming days will likely see further developments as both parties prepare for the challenges ahead.
