In a fervent display of discontent, senior YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former minister Botsa Satyanarayana has condemned the recent spate of attacks targeting party leaders in the state. Speaking to the media at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli on Monday, February 2, 2026, Botsa expressed his outrage over the violent actions allegedly orchestrated under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh.

Botsa accused the coalition government of engaging in systematic violence over the past three days, questioning the role of law enforcement in these actions. He stated, “Are the police really facilitating these attacks? Chandrababu should not encourage such violence and tarnish his own reputation.” Botsa’s comments come at a time when tensions between political parties have escalated, with many questioning the silence of the Jana Sena Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party amidst ongoing violence in the state.

The former minister highlighted a disturbing trend of political violence, drawing attention to the stark inaction from opposition parties. “Why have the Jana Sena and BJP remained silent while violence erupts across the state? A Union Minister himself has declared that they will demonstrate their strength. It is imperative for central leaders to act with decorum,” Botsa added, emphasizing the need for responsible governance.

As the situation unfolds, Botsa pointed out that the people of the state are acutely aware of the escalating violence. He posed a chilling question, “Are they planning to use petrol bombs to attack homes?” This remark underscores the gravity of his concerns regarding public safety and the accountability of police forces in maintaining law and order.

In a passionate plea, Botsa urged the public to reflect on the government’s actions. “The people must consider the government’s approach. Police must fulfill their duty to protect citizens. If mistakes are made, divine retribution will not be forgiving. Can we forsake welfare programs to indulge in violence?” he questioned, signaling a call for a return to civility and social responsibility in political discourse.

The comments from Botsa Satyanarayana are likely to resonate with many citizens who are increasingly disillusioned with the current state of affairs. As political rivalries intensify, the call for peace and accountability becomes more crucial than ever. The unfolding events will undoubtedly shape the political landscape in the region as parties grapple with the implications of violence and governance in the coming days.
