In a recent political upheaval, former Minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has called for action against Chevella MLA Kale Yadayya, who allegedly won his seat as a member of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) before switching allegiance to the Congress party. KTR’s remarks came during a gathering where several followers of former Chevella MPP Vijay Bhaskar Reddy joined the BRS, showcasing a shift in political dynamics in the region.
During the event, KTR launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing its leader, Revanth Reddy, of neglecting the promises made in the party’s manifesto. “Revanth Reddy has trampled over the commitments made to the public. After coming to power, they have sidelined governance and failed to uphold their promises,” KTR stated emphatically. He reiterated his earlier claims that the Congress party is notorious for deceiving voters, a sentiment he believes has now been validated by current events.
Highlighting the various groups that have been let down by Congress, KTR mentioned the elderly, women, students, and government employees, all of whom he claims have been misled during the past two years under the Congress rule. He also pointed out the Speaker of the Assembly, Dhritarashtra, for failing to recognize the reality of the political situation, comparing him to someone blindfolded to the truth.
Despite Yadayya’s involvement in Congress activities, the Speaker continues to regard him as a BRS member. KTR expressed his disbelief at this inconsistency, noting that Yadayya himself has declared his allegiance to Congress. “If the Congress party has the courage, they should take action against Yadayya and face the elections,” KTR challenged, putting the onus back on the opposition party to prove its strength.
As the upcoming municipal elections approach, KTR urged the public to send a clear message to the Congress party, warning them that voting for Congress would only perpetuate the cycle of deceit. He emphasized, “Only when KCR returns to power will the state prosper and justice be served to the people.” This rallying cry aims to galvanize support for the BRS and positions KTR as a steadfast opponent of the Congress party’s governance.
The political landscape in Chevella is rapidly changing, and with tensions rising between the BRS and Congress, the stage is set for a fierce electoral battle. As both parties gear up for the municipal elections, the actions taken by each will play a crucial role in shaping the future of governance in the region.
