In a fiery statement, Kurasaala Kannababu, the regional coordinator of YSR Congress Party for North Andhra, criticized former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for allegedly spreading falsehoods during his recent trip to Davos. Addressing the media on Thursday in Visakhapatnam, Kannababu expressed his outrage, accusing Naidu of living off lies along with his son.

Kannababu’s remarks came in response to Naidu’s claims regarding land allocations in Visakhapatnam, which he described as being offered at rates lower than a cup of tea. This assertion sparked a wave of anger from Kannababu, who highlighted the disparity between Naidu’s statements and the reality faced by the people in the region.

Further intensifying his criticism, Kannababu pointed out that Naidu was inaugurating developmental projects initiated by the current Chief Minister, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He emphasized that under Jagan’s leadership, significant advancements had been made, particularly noting the establishment of Greenko, a renewable energy company, in the state.

Kannababu also raised serious concerns about the pressure faced by employees of the Swachh Andhra Corporation, revealing that one employee died due to the stress imposed by the organization. He firmly stated that if these claims are indeed true, Naidu owes an apology to the affected employees.

The regional coordinator did not hold back when discussing Naidu’s motives, asserting that the former chief minister would go to any lengths for his personal gain. He called out Naidu for his lack of commitment to the state’s interests, particularly regarding the establishment of a railway zone in Visakhapatnam linked to the K.K. Line.

Kannababu concluded his statement with a warning, insisting that if the demands for a railway zone that includes the K.K. Line are not met, they would resort to large-scale protests. His remarks reflect a growing frustration among party supporters regarding the perceived negligence of key infrastructure projects that could benefit the region.

As the political landscape in Andhra Pradesh continues to evolve, the tension between the YSR Congress Party and the Telugu Desam Party seems to be intensifying, with figures like Kannababu emerging as vocal advocates for regional development and accountability. The coming months will be critical as both parties gear up for future electoral battles, with the focus firmly on the claims and counterclaims surrounding development and governance in the state.
