The Tollywood film industry kicked off 2026 with a bang, featuring numerous film releases in January. Among them, Chiranjeevi’s “Man Shankaravaraprasad,” Naveen Polishetty’s “Anaganaga Oka Raju,” and Sharwanand’s “Naari Naari Nadum Murari” garnered significant audience attention, setting a strong tone for the year. However, as we enter February, the question arises: what does the current landscape of Tollywood look like? What films are set to hit theaters this month?

Following the excitement of Sankranti, the last weeks of January saw a lull in significant movie releases. The only noteworthy film, “Om Shanti Shanti,” failed to make an impression on audiences. Yet, February promises a bustling start with as many as ten new Telugu films slated for release in the first week alone. Among these, Gunasekhar’s “Euphoria” stands out as the only film that seems to have the potential to succeed, generating some buzz.

Alongside “Euphoria,” several other Telugu films are set to hit theaters, including “Sumathi Shatakam,” “Sri Chidambaram Garu,” “Chai Wala,” “Honey,” “Blood Roses,” “Operation Padma,” and “Barabar Premista.” Additionally, a dubbed film titled “With Love” is also making its way to the screens this weekend. Fans are left wondering if any of these films will create the magic that draws audiences to theaters.

This weekend also marks the re-release of the film “Orange,” which could attract nostalgic viewers. In the second week of February, coinciding with Valentine’s week, movies like Vishwak Sen’s “Funky” and Santosh Shobhan’s “Couple Friendly” are scheduled for release, along with a dubbed film named “Seetha Payanam.” Rumors suggest that the Tamil sensation “Love Insurance Company” may also debut this weekend, although clarity on this is still pending. Re-releases such as “Love Story” and “Manasantaa Nuve” are also expected to make their way back into theaters, raising questions about where the audience’s loyalties will lie.

As February progresses, the third week will see the release of “Hey Bhagwan,” a comedy featuring Suhas and Shivani, known for their work in “Little Hearts.” The teaser has received a positive response, but whether it will turn into a hit post-release remains uncertain. Additionally, a Telugu film titled “China Piece” is also on the horizon. This weekend, Hindi film “Do Diwane Sheher Mein,” featuring Mrunal Thakur, is set to premiere, showcasing a romantic drama that could attract a diverse audience.

As we approach the final week of February, only the film “Scream” appears to be scheduled for release. Currently, around 20 films are gearing up to hit theaters throughout the month. However, there seems to be little buzz surrounding any of these titles. Will there be any surprise hits among these releases? Only time will tell as Tollywood continues to navigate the ever-changing landscape of cinema.
