The reality show ‘The 50’ has concluded on a high note, marking a significant milestone in its inaugural season. The show featured 50 celebrities and came to a successful end on March 22. Shiv Thakare emerged as the winner, outshining notable contestants like Faizal Shaikh, Krishna Shroff, and Rajat Dalal. While Thakare received the coveted trophy, the unique twist of the show meant that the prize money of ₹50 lakh was awarded not to him, but to his devoted fan, Sitaram Prahlad Aghav.
This intriguing format of ‘The 50’ allows a contestant’s fan to win the cash prize instead of the contestant themselves. As Thakare took home the trophy, his fan Sitaram celebrated the windfall, which he won through Thakare’s victory. The finale highlighted the intense competition, where only five contestants made it to the last round, including Rajat Dalal, Shiv Thakare, Krishna Shroff, Kak (Ravinder Singh), and Faizal Shaikh.
During the finale, the contestants were tasked with eliminating one among them, as instructed by the show’s boss, The Lion. Shiv, Krishna, and Kak decided to eliminate Rajat, setting the stage for the remaining four contestants to tackle various challenges. Ultimately, Shiv Thakare showcased his prowess and clinched the title, while Faizal Shaikh secured the first runner-up position.
The journey to the finals for Shiv Thakare was not without its challenges. Notably, he earned a spot in the finale thanks to a sacrifice made by fellow contestant Prince Narula, who gave up his ticket to the finals. Thakare seized this opportunity, showcasing his determination and skills to emerge victorious.
Sitaram, the fan who won the ₹50 lakh prize, expressed his disbelief at his fortune. “I work in the fields with my family, and winning this prize money brings immense joy. I once thought it might be a scam. Watching everything unfold feels like a dream. I plan to buy a nice house and a car for my parents with this money,” he shared with excitement.
Shiv Thakare is no stranger to the limelight, having previously won the second season of Marathi Bigg Boss and finishing as the first runner-up in Hindi Bigg Boss Season 16. His success in ‘The 50’ has further solidified his status as a beloved figure in reality television.
As fans continue to celebrate the show’s memorable moments, ‘The 50’ has not only entertained but also demonstrated the power of fandom, showcasing that sometimes, the supporters behind the contestants can share in their glory in unexpected ways.
