Nellore: Former Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy has raised serious questions regarding Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s recent allegations, suggesting that if his propaganda is challenged, does it lead to attacks? Reddy’s remarks come in the wake of Naidu’s comments about alleged adulteration in the famous Tirupati laddu, which has stirred significant controversy.

Reddy pointed out that Naidu had previously claimed that the Tirupati laddu, a revered offering in the Tirumala temple, was adulterated. However, a report by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has reportedly cleared these allegations, stating that there is no evidence of any wrongdoing or adulteration in the laddu preparation. Reddy emphasized that this development clearly indicates that all the claims made by Naidu are false, undermining the integrity of the temple and its offerings.

The former minister expressed concern that Naidu’s statements have hurt the sentiments of devotees who consider the Tirupati laddu sacred. He has demanded a public apology from the Chief Minister to rectify the damage caused to the faith of millions of devotees. “The comments made by Naidu have not only misled the public but have also tarnished the reputation of a significant religious offering,” Reddy remarked.

Furthermore, Reddy criticized the Chief Minister for seemingly using the controversy for political gain, alleging that the Executive Officer (EO) Anil Kumar Singhal has been made a scapegoat in this situation. He argued that the report did not align with Naidu’s expectations, leading to Singhal being unjustly blamed for the situation. Reddy’s comments highlight a growing tension between political figures in the state as they navigate sensitive religious issues.

In a particularly pointed inquiry, Reddy questioned whether Naidu and his associates would resort to violence against former minister Ambati Rambabu, hinting at the increasing hostility in political discourse. This inquiry reflects the heightened tensions as political rivals engage in a war of words, with implications that could escalate beyond verbal confrontations.

The political landscape in Andhra Pradesh is becoming increasingly fraught as leaders take to social media and public forums to voice their criticism. Reddy’s remarks are a call to action for political accountability, urging leaders to be mindful of their statements, especially when they pertain to the deeply held beliefs of the public.

As this situation develops, the focus will be on how both the political leaders and the public respond to these allegations and the implications for the forthcoming political engagements in the state. With the stakes high, every statement made will be scrutinized, and the call for integrity and respect for religious sentiments will remain at the forefront of the discussions.
