Guntur: In a heated political clash, former minister and YSR Congress leader Ambati Rambabu has demanded the immediate removal of a controversial flex banner set up by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the city. Rambabu, along with party leaders and activists, protested in front of the flex at Chilly Center, accusing the TDP of using deceitful tactics to spread false propaganda.
During the protest, Rambabu addressed the media, asserting that the TDP leaders were engaging in slanderous activities under the orders of their president, N. Chandrababu Naidu. He expressed his outrage over the TDP’s continued dissemination of falsehoods, particularly regarding the Tirumala laddu issue, which has been cleared by a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) report stating that there is no animal fat in the sweet.
Rambabu highlighted that despite the CBI’s findings, the TDP persists in its negative campaigning, portraying the situation inaccurately. The flex in question prominently features images of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, V. Vijayasai Reddy, and Karunakar Reddy, accompanied by derogatory messages aimed at undermining the credibility of the ruling party.
“We demand that these flexes be removed within 24 hours. If they are not taken down, we will have no choice but to tear them down ourselves,” Rambabu warned. He accused Chandrababu Naidu of politicizing the Tirumala laddu and insisted that he should apologize to the public for his actions. The tensions between the two parties have escalated as both sides engage in a war of words, each accusing the other of spreading misinformation.
Rambabu made it clear that the YSR Congress party would not remain silent in the face of false propaganda directed at its leaders. He proclaimed, “If TDP leaders continue to spread lies about our party, we will not sit idly by. Even God will not forgive Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan for their misdeeds.”
This incident underlines the ongoing rivalry between the TDP and YSR Congress in Andhra Pradesh, as both parties gear up for the upcoming elections. With tensions running high, the political landscape in the region appears to be increasingly polarized, leaving citizens to navigate through a maze of conflicting narratives.
As the deadline for the removal of the flex approaches, it remains to be seen how the TDP will respond to the protest and the demands made by Rambabu and his supporters. The outcome of this confrontation may have significant implications for the political climate in Andhra Pradesh as the parties prepare for a fierce electoral battle ahead.
