Tirupati, India – In a recent press conference held in Tadepalli, former minister Perni Nani expressed sharp criticism towards political leader Pawan Kalyan, questioning his integrity and motives in light of recent controversies surrounding the famous Tirumala laddu. Nani pointed out that the public is closely observing the behavior of prominent political figures such as N. Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Lokesh, particularly regarding their handling of this cherished tradition.
Nani accused Kalyan of compromising his principles for political gain, implying that his actions are not in line with the expectations of the electorate. “Is Pawan Kalyan really willing to stoop this low for political maneuvering?” he asked, highlighting the discontent among voters. The former minister demanded clarity on specific allegations regarding the procurement of butter from Bhole Baba Dairy, questioning how it was purchased for ₹291 during Naidu’s administration.
During the media interaction, Nani also raised concerns about the lack of transparency from Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav regarding the state’s debts. He emphasized that Keshav has not been forthcoming with the public about the financial challenges facing the state, suggesting that his focus should be on these pressing issues rather than engaging in what he called “misleading propaganda” about the Tirumala laddu.
Highlighting the historical context, Nani pointed out that the purchase of butter from Bhole Baba Dairy occurred during Naidu’s tenure, challenging Kalyan and his allies to provide explanations on current pricing, particularly in contrast to the rates at which Heritage Foods sells cow butter.
