Tadepalli: YSR Congress Party leader Gadikota Srikanth Reddy has lashed out at Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, urging him to cease his “neech politics” or lowly political tactics. Reddy’s remarks came in response to the recent CBI report which stated that there was no adulteration in the ghee used for the famous Tirumala laddus, a matter of significant concern for millions of devotees.

On Thursday, January 29, Reddy expressed that Naidu’s statements have hurt the sentiments of countless devotees. He emphasized that after reviewing the CBI charge sheet, devotees were relieved to learn that animal fat was not mixed into the Tirumala laddus, a traditional offering at the Tirupati temple. Reddy suggested that the fear of backlash from the public has led coalition leaders to resort to misleading information and propaganda, as they are worried about facing public outrage.

Reddy also criticized the media for its role in perpetuating false narratives, arguing that it should operate with a sense of moral responsibility. He highlighted the deteriorating peace and security in the state, citing instances of violence against Dalits and ongoing atrocities against women and children, while accusing the government of turning a blind eye to these issues. He claimed that the government is driving the state towards destruction with its mounting debts.

Furthermore, Reddy questioned the government’s transparency regarding its financial dealings, asking what has become of the loans taken and how they have been utilized. He asserted that instead of focusing on real issues, the government is preoccupied with publicity stunts and mudslinging against the opposition. He lamented that no community—be it farmers, youth, or women—feels secure or content under the current administration.

In a pointed query, Reddy challenged the government to release a white paper detailing how many jobs have been created for the youth. He also called for clarity on how Heritage ghee is being sold at lower prices and what adulterants might be included in it. Reddy reminded the public that the Bolebaba Dairy was initiated by Chandrababu Naidu himself, suggesting that Naidu should focus on the development of the state rather than engaging in conspiracies.

In conclusion, Reddy’s vehement statements reflect the growing discontent among the public towards the current administration’s handling of critical issues. As the political landscape heats up, it remains to be seen how Naidu will respond to these allegations and whether he will address the concerns raised by the YSR Congress Party leader.
