Acclaimed Comedian Vennela Kishore Reflects on Career Highs and Lows: “I Have No Dream Roles Left”
Hyderabad – Vennela Kishore, one of the most beloved and versatile comedic actors in the Indian film industry, is basking in the success of his recent role in the hit film Single, where he starred alongside lead actor Sree Vishnu. However, in a candid interview, Kishore has revealed that he feels he has achieved all of his dream roles, leaving him to ponder his next steps in an ever-evolving career.
“It’s a bittersweet feeling, in a way,” Kishore confessed. “I’ve been so fortunate to have had the opportunity to bring so many memorable characters to life on the big screen. But at the same time, I feel like I’ve checked off all the boxes on my professional bucket list. I’m not sure where to go from here.”
Kishore first gained widespread recognition for his scene-stealing performances in films like Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and Aatadukundam Raa, where his impeccable timing and natural charisma elevated even the most mundane of comedic bits. He has since gone on to appear in a diverse array of projects, showcasing his versatility as both a leading man and a supporting player.
The actor’s recent turn in Single, in which he played a full-length role, has been particularly well-received by critics and audiences alike. Kishore’s nuanced portrayal of a man grappling with the aftermath of a broken marriage has been lauded as a career-best performance, further cementing his status as one of the most versatile and compelling actors in the industry today.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given and the support I’ve received from the audience,” Kishore said. “But I also can’t help but wonder, what’s next? I feel like I’ve accomplished so much, and I’m not sure if there are any more dream roles left for me to tackle.”
Despite his concerns, Kishore remains optimistic about the future, hinting at the possibility of exploring new creative avenues, such as production or direction. “I’m not ready to slow down anytime soon,” he said. “I’m still brimming with ideas and eager to push the boundaries of what I can do as an actor. Who knows what the future holds?”
