Currently, several top Telugu stars are collaborating with Tamil filmmakers on various projects. Notably, iconic actor Nagarjuna has entrusted the direction of his milestone 100th film to Tamil director R.A. Karthik, a decision that highlights this trend. Approximately a year ago, Karthik pitched a storyline to Nagarjuna, who was impressed and asked him to develop it into a full script. This family action drama will be Karthik’s second film, following his directorial debut with ‘Nidham Oru Vaanam’. The film, tentatively titled ‘King 100’, is rumored to revolve around a lottery theme, with speculation surrounding the final title, possibly ‘Lottery King’. The film will also feature prominent actors Tabu and Anushka, with music by Devi Sri Prasad and production by Annapurna Studios, aiming for a release around Dasara.
In another exciting development, N.T. Rama Rao Jr. (NTR) is reportedly in discussions for a multi-starrer film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, known for the hit ‘Jailer’. After successfully working with Rajinikanth, Nelson is preparing a massive action story tailored for NTR. Sources reveal that NTR has shown interest in the storyline, which is expected to feature another star alongside him. The film aims to be a bilingual project, bridging the Telugu and Tamil film industries, further reflecting the ongoing trend of cross-industry collaborations.
Allu Arjun is also making headlines with his upcoming projects, having signed films with two Tamil directors successively. After working with Atlee on a science fiction film, he recently announced another project directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
