Supritha, the daughter of renowned Tollywood actress Surekha Vani, is set to make her mark on the silver screen with her upcoming film “Amaravathi Ki Aahwanam,” which is scheduled to release on the 13th of this month. As part of her promotional activities, Supritha has been giving a series of interviews where she not only discusses details about her movie but also opens up about her personal life.
In a recent interview with a YouTube channel, Supritha shared her harrowing experience with health issues that struck her unexpectedly. She candidly spoke about how stress and pressure contributed to her weight gain, which led to a cycle of unhealthy eating habits. “I started eating more whenever I was under stress, and that caused me to gain weight,” Supritha revealed. This unhealthy pattern prompted her to adopt a drastic approach to dieting, where she would only eat one meal a day, often consisting of biryani. Unfortunately, this took a toll on her health, resulting in hospitalization.
Supritha described her time in the hospital as a nightmare, stating, “I experienced hell for nearly 15 days. Even drinking water would make me vomit, and for 20 days, I couldn’t eat anything at all. I was vomiting 15 times a day.” The severity of her condition led her to a point where she questioned her will to live, expressing concern for her mother and the staff who were affected by her illness. “It hurt me to see them suffering because of me. At one point, I wished for a medicine that would end my suffering,” she admitted. Thankfully, with God’s grace, she has recovered and is now feeling happy and healthy.
Beyond her health struggles, Supritha also shared insights about her aspirations in the film industry. She expressed a desire to continue her career not just as a heroine but also as a character artist if she finds a good script. When asked about acting alongside prominent actors like Pawan Kalyan and NTR, she said she wouldn’t hesitate to seize such opportunities. “I would act as a sister to these two, and to any other heroes in Tollywood, except for Vijay Deverakonda and Akhil,” she added, highlighting her admiration for them.
Supritha recalled a promise her mother made when she passed her tenth grade, stating that she would be taken out to dinner with Akhil. “But that wish has yet to be fulfilled,” she lamented, expressing her excitement at the thought of meeting the actors in person. Her sincerity and charm shine through as she navigates her way through the complexities of her budding career and personal experiences, leaving fans eager to see her on the big screen.
