Samrat Reddy, a well-known actor recognized for films such as Vinayakudu, Panchakshari, Prema Kavali, and Dookudu, has recently opened up about the struggles he faced in his personal life. After a significant hiatus from the silver screen, Reddy garnered attention by participating in the second season of Telugu Bigg Boss, bringing him closer to television audiences.
In a candid interview, Samrat shared his tumultuous journey post-marriage to Harshita, revealing the challenges that plagued their relationship. He reflected on the unexpected turn of events that led to their separation, stating, “At one point, I found myself preparing to marry a heroine, but the wedding was abruptly canceled. I took a break from everything due to the constant drama.” Samrat further elaborated on the legal troubles he faced when Harshita accused him of domestic violence and dowry harassment shortly after their wedding.
Describing the accusations as baseless, he expressed how they tarnished his reputation. “There are many ways to deal with a failed marriage, whether through mutual consent or filing for divorce. However, she chose the wrong path, aiming to damage my image as an actor. I was deeply hurt, and to add to my grief, my father suffered a stroke during this time,” he recounted.
Samrat’s life took a drastic turn when he found himself in jail for two days due to a robbery case at his home, which he believes also contributed to his depression. “I faced numerous false allegations, and those incidents significantly impacted my career. I fell into a dark place, and it was then that I received the Bigg Boss offer. Initially, I was reluctant to participate, but I felt it was a chance to clear my name,” he explained, detailing how the experience of competing on the reality show helped him cope with the pain he had endured.
Despite his struggles, Samrat found love again. After deciding against remarrying due to the challenges from his first marriage, he met Anjana Shreelikhita post-Bigg Boss. “The moment I saw her, I was drawn to her. I proposed marriage, but initially, her family was not supportive. She went to great lengths to convince them,” he shared. Their wedding took place in 2020, and they welcomed a daughter in 2022. Samrat described their relationship as a stark contrast to his first marriage, saying, “The first was an arranged marriage, while the second is rooted in love. Since Likhita entered my life, I have found true happiness.”
As he reflects on his past, Samrat Reddy emphasizes the importance of resilience and the support of loved ones in overcoming life’s adversities. His journey serves as an inspirational reminder that even in the face of significant challenges, one can find love and happiness again.
