The beloved actress Roja, who left an indelible mark in the hearts of audiences with her performances in Tamil and Telugu films, is making a remarkable comeback to cinema after a long hiatus. Following her foray into politics, Roja stepped away from acting, but now she is refocusing on her passion for the craft with a leading role in the upcoming film “Anbe Diana.” This project is directed by the talented Pari Ilavala Gan, known for his work in the film “Jam,” and features actress Ramya Ranganathan in a pivotal role.
The star-studded cast also includes actors Chetan, YouTuber Parithapangal Gopi, Ismath Bhanu, Sudarshan Gandhi, and Cell Murugan among others. “Anbe Diana” marks the seventh film produced by Million Dollar Studios, a production house renowned for its successful projects like “Goodnight,” “Lover,” and “Tourist Family.” Currently, the film is in post-production after completing its shooting schedule, and it promises to unveil a new perspective on Chennai.
According to a statement released by the unit members, the film is set against the backdrop of Perambur and aims to explore themes of love, entertainment, and religious differences, presenting a fresh narrative. The story revolves around incidents in a middle-class family in North Chennai, focusing on the intriguing dynamics that unfold when a young man from this family falls in love with an Anglo-Indian girl. The title “Anbe Diana” reflects this central theme of love and cultural intersection.
