Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has announced that the filming for the highly anticipated sequel, ‘Animal: Park’, will begin next year. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the first installment of the film, simply titled ‘Animal’, has already made waves since its release on December 1, 2023, achieving blockbuster status. The film features Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady, with Bobby Deol playing the villain and Tripti Dimri in a pivotal role.
The movie was produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Murad Khetani, and Pranay Reddy Vanga, and its success has set the stage for the upcoming sequel. In a recent interview, Kapoor discussed his exciting dual role in ‘Animal: Park’, revealing that he will portray both the hero and the villain. “Sandeep Reddy Vanga mentioned to me that he envisions ‘Animal’ as a trilogy. The first part is already out, and we will start shooting for the second part, ‘Animal: Park’, in 2027. It’s going to be very exciting,” said Kapoor.
Currently, Kapoor is also working on other major projects, including ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ and ‘Ramayana: Part 2’, both of which are set to release during the Diwali festival. The makers have already announced that ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ will debut this Diwali, with its sequel following the next year. Additionally, the film ‘Love and War’ is scheduled for release in 2027, showcasing Kapoor’s busy calendar.
In the interview, Kapoor also took a moment to celebrate the illustrious career of actress Rani Mukerji, who has completed 30 years in the film industry. He expressed his admiration, stating, “Rani Mukerji is one of the greatest actresses in India. I acted alongside her in my first film, ‘Saawariya’. She was the first person to encourage me to work hard as an actor. I will never forget the conversations we had during that film’s shoot. Celebrating Rani Mukerji’s 30-year journey in cinema is truly wonderful, and she continues to choose roles that portray women brilliantly on the silver screen.”
Mukerji’s latest film, ‘Mardaani 3’, is set to release on the 30th of this month, further solidifying her lasting impact on the industry. As both actors continue to thrive in their careers, the excitement around their upcoming projects promises to keep fans eager for more cinematic experiences.
