Bollywood actor Nakul Mehta has revealed that his journey in cinema began with Telugu films, although his debut movie in the language has yet to be released. Speaking about his experiences, Nakul expressed how significant the Telugu film industry has been to his career, stating, “My career started with a Telugu movie.” He reminisced about spending three months in Hyderabad, where the name of actress Shriya became quite prominent during that period.
Nakul shared that during his free time, he would watch Shriya’s films, which fueled his interest in acting. However, he lamented that despite his initial excitement, his own film did not progress, which coincided with the early stages of his career that was just beginning to take off. This situation prompted him to return to Mumbai, where he shifted his focus towards advertising while seeking his path in the entertainment industry.
In the early stages of his career, Nakul admitted that his desire to become an actor was not particularly strong. Nonetheless, the encouragement from those around him pushed him towards acting. “I also enjoy entertaining everyone,” he noted, which led him to step into the television industry. When an opportunity in a Telugu film arose, he eagerly accepted it, although he faced challenges due to his unfamiliarity with the language.
Nakul emphasized the importance of having supportive people around, stating that their presence helped him navigate through difficulties. He found that this experience contributed significantly to his love for performing in front of the camera. The actor acknowledged the lengthy and successful career of actress Shriya, who has been in the industry for 25 years, achieving considerable success and stardom. Nakul reflected on his own definition of success, saying, “In my view, success means being loved by the people.” He gained recognition through the television series “Ishqbaaz” and has also acted in the Telugu film “Abhimani” (2005). Currently, he is actively engaged on OTT platforms and recently appeared in the series “Space Gen: Chandrayaan.”
