Renowned actor Arjun recently hosted a pre-release event for his new movie ‘Seetapayanam,’ set to hit theaters on the 14th of this month. The event took a heartwarming turn as he honored three notable social activists, emphasizing their contributions to society by referring to them as the “real heroes.” This gesture showcased Arjun’s admiration for individuals who are making a significant impact in their communities.

In a show of generosity, Arjun presented each of them with a cash gift of one lakh rupees, highlighting his appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

Dr. Mandakini Amte, a prominent physician and social worker from Maharashtra, has been making waves alongside her husband, Dr. Prakash Amte, through their Lok Biradari Prakalp initiative in Gadchiroli. This initiative provides essential medical and educational services to the Madia Gond tribal community. Their commitment to wildlife conservation, particularly for injured and distressed animals, has garnered significant recognition. In 2008, Mandakini Amte was honored with the Ramon Magsaysay Award for her invaluable contributions, while her husband received the Padma Shri award from the central government in 2002.

Tank Bund Shiva, a name synonymous with bravery in Hyderabad, is famously known for his life-saving exploits. At just nine years old, he rescued someone who had fallen into the Hussain Sagar lake, which marked the beginning of his journey as a guardian of lives. Over the years, he has saved countless individuals from drowning and has spent considerable time around Hussain Sagar, tirelessly recovering bodies and offering assistance to bereaved families.

Duschala Sathyanarayana, an environmental conservationist from the Raghavapuram village in the Mothi Mandal of the Suryapet district, is well-known among the people of the Telugu states. He has transformed 70 acres of land into a flourishing forest, planting nearly 5 million trees in the process. His efforts have not gone unnoticed, earning him the Governor’s Pratibha Award for his environmental contributions.

This event not only served as a platform for the promotion of ‘Seetapayanam’ but also highlighted the significance of social activism and environmental conservation. Arjun’s initiative to honor these real-life heroes sheds light on the importance of recognizing those who work tirelessly for the betterment of society, inspiring others to contribute positively to their communities.
