Tadepalli, Andhra Pradesh: Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the leader of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and former Chief Minister, recently addressed the party’s Members of Parliament (MPs) at a parliamentary party meeting in the YSRCP central office. He emphasized the critical responsibility they hold to raise significant issues affecting the people of Andhra Pradesh in both houses of Parliament effectively and boldly.

During the meeting, Jagan reminded the MPs that it is their duty to voice the struggles, problems, and aspirations of the state’s citizens at the national level. He pointed out that farmers, youth, women, workers, and marginalized communities in Andhra Pradesh are currently facing numerous challenges. He urged the MPs to highlight the negligence and injustices inflicted upon these groups by the coalition government at the parliamentary platform.

Jagan also raised concerns about the central government’s actions, which he claimed have undermined several welfare schemes implemented during the previous YSRCP administration. He instructed the MPs to bring attention to the issues of encroaching on people’s rights and the alarming debt situation that has engulfed the state. The former Chief Minister warned that the state’s finances are deteriorating due to the excessive borrowing practices that violate constitutional norms.

Furthermore, Jagan expressed serious concerns about the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. He criticized the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for politicizing issues, which has led to increased political vendettas. He noted that YSRCP leaders, workers, and supporters are facing attacks, false cases, and harassment as a direct consequence of this hostile environment.

Highlighting the recent attack and murder of a Dalit activist, Manda Salman, Jagan condemned the growing incidents of violence and harassment against Dalits in the state. He expressed his frustration with the government’s inaction regarding these atrocities and urged the MPs to present a comprehensive petition to the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, outlining the ongoing violence and injustices faced by Dalits.

Jagan called for immediate intervention from constitutional bodies to address the violence, murders, and harassment occurring within the state. He made it clear to the MPs that they should not cease fighting until justice is served for the victims. He urged them to leverage Parliament as a powerful platform for addressing the problems faced by the people and to put continuous pressure on the central government.

In conclusion, Jagan reaffirmed YSRCP’s unwavering commitment to fighting for the people and stressed the importance of upholding democratic values, social justice, and constitutional rights. He called on the MPs to work diligently and with dedication to protect these ideals. The meeting underscored the party’s resolve to advocate for the rights of the people and to ensure that the voices of the marginalized are heard at the national level.
