In a shocking turn of events, the Telugu Desam Party’s State Executive Secretary, Pothuri Venkateswara Rao, also known as Buddiya Raju, has raised serious allegations against Kanumuri Raghuramakrishna Rao, a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) and Deputy Speaker. During a press conference held at his residence in Velivarru, West Godavari district, Venkateswara Rao called for intervention from Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Minister Lokesh, and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan to protect the constituency from what he described as a “psychotic MLA.”

Venkateswara Rao accused Raghuramakrishna Rao of conspiring to have him killed, claiming that the MLA instructed his associate in front of family members to carry out the act. He expressed that the current situation is dire, as Raghuramakrishna Rao’s actions have become intolerable for the TDP leaders and workers who once supported him. “It is the TDP movement that brought Raghuramakrishna Rao to power, but now he has turned against us,” Venkateswara Rao stated, highlighting a growing rift within the party.

Furthermore, Venkateswara Rao alleged that Raghuramakrishna Rao was indulging in various illegal activities, supported by another associate, Kothapalli Nagaraju. He claimed that anyone who dared to speak against the MLA or did not heed his words faced threats and false cases, regardless of their party affiliation. “I am one of those who have faced such intimidation,” he added, revealing the extent of fear instilled by Raghuramakrishna Rao’s influence.

In a dramatic recounting, he shared an incident from the last elections, where Raghuramakrishna Rao purportedly ordered confrontations against TDP’s former MLA Shivaramaraju, who was running as an independent candidate. Venkateswara Rao mentioned that he personally went to demand the return of his money from Shivaramaraju’s office, emphasizing the MLA’s attempts to control the narrative and the constituency.

Venkateswara Rao further claimed that Raghuramakrishna Rao has been involved in numerous corrupt practices, specifically accusing him of selling society positions in four mandals to the upper castes. He expressed his determination to expose these alleged misdeeds, stating that he would soon present evidence to Chief Minister Naidu, Minister Lokesh, and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.

As the tension escalated, Venkateswara Rao challenged Raghuramakrishna Rao, stating, “If you have the guts, come and face me.” He vowed to reveal the records of the MLA’s corruption and violence, asserting that Raghuramakrishna Rao shows no regard for the poor and has been demolishing houses along the roadside. He lamented the deteriorating communal harmony in the constituency, stating that churches and mosques are being destroyed under Raghuramakrishna Rao’s directives.

This unfolding situation has raised concerns not only within the TDP but also among the constituents who fear for their safety and the future of their community. Venkateswara Rao’s bold accusations have ignited a firestorm of debate about the accountability of elected officials and the necessity for protective measures for those speaking out against political violence and corruption.
