The political landscape in Karimnagar has taken a decisive turn, with Union Home Ministry’s Assistant Minister Bandisanjay declaring the local elections a ‘one-sided war’ in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Speaking at various street corner meetings in Thigalaguttapalli and Chintakunta on the last day of campaigning, he stated that the BJP has secured 45 out of 66 divisions, showcasing a significant electoral advantage.

Bandisanjay emphasized that if the mayoral seat is handed over to the BJP, it would serve as a protective shield for the citizens of Karimnagar against land grabbers and drug dealers. He assured the public that under BJP’s governance, there would be stringent actions against illegal activities, thereby ensuring safety and security for the residents.

During the meetings, which also featured BJP state spokesperson C.H. Vithal and local leaders, Bandisanjay recounted the challenges posed by the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government. He accused the BRS of obstructing the state’s share for the Rural Development Board (RDB) in the past and highlighted that he had successfully secured Rs. 154 crores from the central government under the Sethu Bandhu scheme to address these issues.

Addressing the pressing water supply issues, Bandisanjay informed the audience that over 32 crores allocated under the Amrit 2.0 scheme are currently being utilized for infrastructure improvements within the Chintakunta area. He promised that the drinking water crisis would soon be resolved, showcasing the BJP’s commitment to enhancing local amenities.

In a passionate appeal to the voters, Bandisanjay criticized the opposition for attempting to manipulate the electoral process by distributing money to sway the electorate. “They have hoarded money all this time and are now trying to buy your votes. They took advantage of you, while we have remained steadfast in our commitment to the people of Karimnagar,” he declared. He urged the citizens not to be swayed by short-term gains and to consider the long-term implications of their voting choices.

In a stirring conclusion, he implored the residents of Karimnagar, “Please do not let our city stagnate for the next five years. Voting for the BJP is essential; otherwise, you will face losses in various forms.” His remarks underscored the high stakes of this election and the BJP’s determination to secure a victory that they believe will usher in a new era of governance for the region.
