In a shocking revelation, Arava Sreedhar, the Janasena MLA from the Railway Koduru constituency in Tirupati district, has been implicated in a series of harassment allegations against a woman over the past year and a half. This situation has come to light amid ongoing reports of misconduct by Janasena leaders across the state. The victim, who broke down in tears while addressing the media, claimed that Sreedhar had been tormenting her under the pretense of job offers.

The allegations surfaced following the recent assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, where Sreedhar emerged victorious as the Janasena candidate. The victim, who works as a contract employee in a government department, had initially congratulated Sreedhar on his election win via a message on Facebook. However, this seemingly innocuous interaction marked the beginning of a troubling ordeal for her.

After receiving the congratulatory message, Sreedhar began to message her persistently on Facebook, urging her to meet him. The victim reported feeling increasingly anxious about the unsolicited attention from an elected official. Concerned about his intentions, she sought to confront him, asking why he was behaving this way. Sreedhar, leveraging his political power, began to probe into her personal life, inquiring about her parents, her job, her marital status, and even the details of her children.

After learning that her husband worked in IT in Hyderabad and that she had no parents, Sreedhar escalated his approach. One day, he allegedly picked her up under the guise of taking her to a specific location, but instead drove her to a secluded area near a village. It was during this incident that he attempted to assault her inside the vehicle. The victim recounted her horror, stating that she tried to escape, only to be forcibly restrained by Sreedhar, who reportedly grabbed her by the hair.

The situation worsened as Sreedhar’s harassment did not stop there. He allegedly coerced the victim into seeking a divorce from her husband, claiming that he would marry her. When she refused, he reportedly threatened to harm her child, a three-year-old boy, if she did not comply with his demands. This intimidation has left the victim in a state of fear and distress.

The shocking nature of these allegations has stirred public outrage, with the victim now coming forward with evidence, including videos and WhatsApp chats, to support her claims. This situation highlights a troubling pattern of behavior among certain political leaders, raising questions about the accountability of elected officials and the safety of women in their jurisdictions.

The Janasena party now faces mounting pressure to address these allegations and take appropriate action against Sreedhar. As the investigation unfolds, many are calling for justice for the victim and urging a reevaluation of how such cases of harassment are handled within the political landscape of Andhra Pradesh.
