In a recent media briefing held in Tadepalli, former MLA and YSR Congress Party leader Koramutla Srinivasaulu made strong comments regarding Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He claimed that wherever Naidu goes, he seems to be preoccupied with chanting the name of his political rival, Jagan Mohan Reddy. Srinivasaulu’s remarks come amidst rising tensions in the state over issues related to governance and law enforcement.
During his address, Srinivasaulu pointed out that even during his trip to Davos, Naidu was focused on criticizing Jagan rather than addressing pressing state matters. He accused the previous government, led by Naidu, of fostering an environment where land and mining mafias thrived, leading to rampant corruption and exploitation. He emphasized that these criminal elements have only gained strength under Naidu’s administration, raising serious concerns over public safety and welfare.
The former MLA did not hold back in his criticism of the liquor mafia, which he claimed had become increasingly bold during the Sankranti festival celebrations. “While the government increased prices by ten rupees, the liquor mafia raised them by an astonishing sixty rupees, effectively robbing the public,” he asserted. Srinivasaulu expressed outrage over the government’s negligence, stating that the lives of citizens have become a mere commodity in the liquor trade.
He also referenced a recent incident that shook the nation, the murder of a local figure known as Manda Salman, which he claimed highlighted the deteriorating security situation in the state. Srinivasaulu lamented that even as violence escalates, certain villages, including Pinnedelli, are reportedly ostracizing families who supported Jagan in the elections, indicating a troubling divide within communities.
Addressing the failure of the state government to maintain law and order, he criticized both the Chief Minister and the Home Minister for their lack of action regarding the escalating issues of drug trafficking and the ongoing influx of cannabis in the region. “The government seems indifferent to the rampant drug problem, which is spiraling out of control,” he stated, calling for immediate intervention.
Srinivasaulu’s comments reflect a growing frustration among the public and opposition leaders regarding the state government’s handling of critical issues. He accused Chandrababu of engaging in backdoor dealings, alleging that the former Chief Minister has been illegally acquiring vast tracts of land for his associates, amounting to billions of rupees.
As the political landscape in Andhra Pradesh continues to evolve, Srinivasaulu’s statements underscore the ongoing tensions between the ruling party and the opposition. With pressing issues surrounding governance, public safety, and corruption at the forefront, it remains to be seen how the state government will respond to these allegations and the growing calls for accountability.
