The political landscape in Telangana is heating up as BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao, commonly known as KTR, has made strong allegations against the Congress party regarding ongoing phone-tapping investigations. Speaking to the media after a meeting with key party leaders at Telangana Bhavan, KTR accused the Congress-led government of using these investigations as a political tool to distract from their own failures.

KTR emphasized that the BRS party, which emerged from a grassroots movement, has always fought for the state without resorting to unethical tactics. “Our leadership has faced elections without fear and has consistently worked for the people and the state. We have fulfilled promises made to the public, even those that were not part of our initial commitments,” KTR stated. He further insisted that the party has never engaged in smear campaigns or violent tactics, contrasting their approach with what he described as the Congress party’s ineffective governance.

<p”Congress has been running a continuous saga of drama, with each day bringing a new twist,” KTR remarked, criticizing the current administration’s handling of affairs in the state. He pointed out that the Congress party has a history of poor governance, likening their leadership to a puppet show where they manipulate narratives to divert attention from their shortcomings.

In a direct challenge to the Congress, KTR questioned the legitimacy of the phone-tapping allegations and asserted that he has nothing to hide. “For the past ten years, I have served as an MLA and Minister, working diligently for the state. I am not afraid of inquiries and am willing to cooperate with any investigation,” he said. KTR also mentioned that the state police have been colluding with the Congress party to perpetuate these allegations, which he termed as a baseless attack on his character.

Another senior party leader, Harish Rao, joined KTR in addressing the media, alleging that the Congress party’s leadership, including Revanth Reddy, has been embroiled in corruption scandals, particularly relating to the Singareni Collieries. Harish accused Revanth and his associates of misusing their positions for personal gain while the Congress attempts to deflect attention through these investigations.

<p”KTR’s statements reflect our commitment to transparency and accountability in governance. We will not shy away from questioning the Congress government’s ineffective policies and their inability to address the pressing issues of the state,” Harish added. The BRS leaders are adamant that they will continue to expose what they describe as the Congress’s corrupt practices.
