BJP National President Nitin Nabeen Sinha has made significant allegations against the ruling party in Telangana, claiming that a commission-based government is in power and that a regime of extortion continues unabated. Speaking in Mahbubnagar, he pointed out that the state is rife with taxes, bribes, and commissions being collected everywhere, specifically referencing the so-called ‘Rahul-Gandhi-Revanth Reddy (RR) tax’. Sinha emphasized that the BJP plans to take the Congress government’s corruption and irregularities directly to the people during the municipal elections, promising a strategy to uproot the corrupt administration in the days to come.
During his speech at the BJP booth-level workers’ ‘Vijaya Sankalpa’ meeting, Sinha expressed concerns over the increasing attacks on temples and religious sites in Telangana over recent months. He criticized the Congress government for being indifferent to these incidents, stating, “If they continue this way, they cannot remain in power for long.” He assured that BJP workers would not stand idly by while Hindu traditions and beliefs are under attack and pledged to make sacrifices to protect them.
He further condemned the Congress government for failing to fulfill promises made to women in the state, such as monthly financial aid of Rs. 2,500 and the provision of gold under the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme. “The current Congress government is no different from the previous BRS government. Workers must go door to door to inform women about these unfulfilled promises and fight against the ongoing deceit,” he urged. Sinha lamented that the Congress party has not delivered on any of its commitments to farmers, agricultural workers, and marginalized communities, urging these groups to teach the government a lesson in the upcoming municipal elections.
Sinha also criticized the current administration led by Revanth Reddy, claiming it is engaging in appeasement politics that undermines Telugu cultural traditions. He accused Congress of pandering to the Muslim vote bank while disregarding the historical context of the party, and he suggested that illegal activities related to Waqf lands are taking place under the guise of minority welfare. He asserted that a response is necessary to these issues, emphasizing the BJP’s recent electoral successes in various states and its goal of achieving substantial voter turnout in Telangana.
Highlighting the achievements of the central government under Prime Minister Modi, Sinha stated that the budget has allocated significant resources for road and railway corridors in Telangana and introduced benefits aimed at uplifting the state. He expressed confidence that these initiatives demonstrate the central government’s commitment to the welfare of Telangana’s people, stating, “This is a clear indication that the central government stands with the people of Telangana.”
During his visit, Sinha paid homage to various deities and prominent figures, including Jogulamba Ammavaru and the freedom fighters of Telangana, while congratulating recent Padma Shri awardees. He encouraged party workers to vigorously campaign for the municipal elections and expressed his intention to return in April to continue supporting the party’s efforts, stating, “We must secure the mayoral seat this time.” His visit concluded with a warm welcome at Shamshabad Airport, where he was greeted by key party leaders and supporters.
