Chaos and Controversy Reign as Former Minister Rips into Chandrababu Naidu’s Governance
Guntur, Andhra Pradesh: In a scathing attack, former minister and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Guntur district president Ambati Rambabu has lashed out at the state’s decline under the coalition government’s one-year rule. Speaking to the media at the Guntur camp office, Rambabu expressed outrage at the lack of new industries being brought to the state and the alleged plots to drive out existing companies from the state.
Rambabu highlighted that the persecution continues, from Sajjana Jindal to the recent arrest of Vikaat Finance Secretary Govindappa Balaji. He claimed that the YSRCP’s five-year rule achieved significant progress in welfare, development, transparency, consumer purchasing power, revenue, and capital investment, but the coalition government’s one-year tenure has been dismal.
The former minister accused Chandrababu Naidu of solely focusing on implementing the “red book constitution” rather than the well-being of the state and its people. Rambabu alleged that Naidu is obsessed with finding ways to defame YS Jagan and target YSRCP leaders with false cases, using the police force for political vendetta.
Regarding the Vikaat Finance case, Rambabu explained that the 165-year-old cement company, which earned ₹44,316 crore in 2024, has a 51% stake in the Bharati Cements company founded by YS Jagan. He claimed that the trumped-up liquor scam case was created solely to implicate Govindappa Balaji, who works as the full-time Finance Secretary of Vikaat.
Rambabu also criticized Chandrababu Naidu’s persecution of other industrialists, such as Sajjana Jindal and the three IPS officers involved in the case. He alleged that Naidu’s actions are driven by his fear of YSRCP regaining power and his desire to intimidate industrialists.
Additionally, Rambabu highlighted the instances where YWLP MLAs are allegedly extorting money from industrialists, such as the incidents involving the Altrata cement factory in Tadipathri and the Adani hydropower project in Gandikota. He accused the coalition government’s MLAs of demanding “mamools” (illegal commissions) from companies, threatening to shut down their operations if they refuse to comply.
Rambabu concluded by stating that Chandrababu Naidu’s “disastrous governance” has led to the state’s regression, with a decline in revenue, consumer purchasing power, and capital investment. He questioned Naidu’s claims of creating wealth and attracting industries, asserting that the former chief minister is instead squandering the state’s resources.
