Vijayawada: In a sharp critique of the current governance in Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MLC Varudu Kalyani has claimed that the state is under a regime of tyranny. She pointed out that the coalition government has failed in its administration and accused its leaders of resorting to diversionary tactics to cover their mistakes.
Kalyani expressed her dissatisfaction with the government’s performance, stating that none of the promises made during the elections have been fulfilled. “To divert attention from the growing dissent among the public, they have brought the Tirupati laddu offering to the forefront,” she said, underscoring her belief that this move was intended to distract citizens from pressing issues.
She further criticized the state’s governance style, comparing it unfavorably to the principles of the Ambedkar Constitution, alleging that a “Red Book” model is being implemented instead. This statement reflects her concerns over the governance system, which she believes is failing to uphold democratic values.
Kalyani also referred to a recent report by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which stated that there is no animal fat in the Tirupati laddu, challenging the narrative surrounding its sanctity. Her comments come amidst ongoing political tensions within the state, where accusations and counter-accusations are a common occurrence.
In a dramatic turn of events, she mentioned that Ambati Rambabu, a fellow party member, was attacked for demanding the removal of flex banners put up by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). This incident highlights the escalating tensions between the rival political factions in Andhra Pradesh.
Furthermore, Kalyani alleged that TDP leaders are involved in corrupt practices, claiming that they are illegally acquiring government land at undervalued prices. This accusation underscores the ongoing battle over land and resources, which is a significant issue in Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape.
Despite the current political turmoil, Kalyani expressed confidence in the YSRCP’s standing among the electorate. She asserted that regardless of when elections are held, the people of Andhra Pradesh are ready to support Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy as their Chief Minister once again. This statement reflects the party’s optimism amid a challenging political environment.
The ongoing political discourse in Andhra Pradesh continues to intensify, with leaders from various parties exchanging barbs and criticisms. As the state moves closer to the next electoral cycle, the focus remains on governance, accountability, and the promises made to the voters.
