Tirumala, a town known for its famous laddus, has become the center of controversy as M. Manohar Reddy, the president of the YSR Congress Party’s legal cell, claims that conspiracies by the coalition government are being unveiled one by one. Speaking at a press conference in Tadepalli, Reddy asserted that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the CBI has clarified that there is no animal fat in the ghee used to make the renowned Tirumala laddus. He condemned former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for allegedly orchestrating new conspiracies in a desperate attempt to protect himself.

Reddy accused Naidu of spreading misinformation by erecting controversial flex banners that claim “Maha Papam” (Great Sin) and launching a campaign of defamation. He emphasized that this is a blatant disregard for the Supreme Court’s directive to keep deities away from political matters. According to Reddy, the TDP coalition is playing with the sentiments of the people, further escalating political tensions.

The accusations stem from a recent charge sheet filed by the CBI’s SIT, which stated that there was no animal fat in the ghee used for preparing the Tirumala laddus. The charge sheet, presented in court, confirmed that tests conducted by the National Dairy Research Institute in Haryana and the National Dairy Development Board in Gujarat corroborated these findings. The SIT’s report has dealt a significant blow to the conspiracy claims made by Naidu and his party.

In response to the revelations from the CBI, the TDP coalition has reportedly changed its narrative, now suggesting that the ghee used may be adulterated or chemical-based. Reddy pointed out that this shift in rhetoric is an attempt to mislead the public and distract from the facts presented by the SIT. “They are resorting to these tactics because they cannot confront Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy in the public sphere,” he added.

Moreover, Reddy denounced the erection of provocative flex banners asserting “Maha Papam,” which he claimed are part of a malicious campaign aimed at tarnishing the reputation of the YSR Congress Party and its leader. He reiterated the Supreme Court’s clear warning against involving deities in political matters, asserting that Naidu’s behavior reflects a troubling refusal to adhere to legal and ethical standards.

Looking ahead, Reddy stated that the YSR Congress Party is prepared to take legal action against the dissemination of false information, including filing complaints with the police regarding the illegal propagation of unsubstantiated claims. He emphasized the party’s commitment to pursuing justice in the High Court, asserting that they possess CCTV footage of those responsible for the controversial flex banners.

Reddy concluded his remarks by highlighting the moral implications of politicizing divine matters, calling it a “heinous act” to manipulate the sentiments of the public in the name of religion. He firmly stated that the party will not only file complaints but also engage in a legal battle to expose the truth behind the ongoing political machinations surrounding the Tirumala laddus.
